“Losses” is a series of 12 paintings of youth who lost a loved one to gang violence.  The paintings are painted to life size with the average size of the canvas at 6’x4’.  The hardest part of this series was finding people who would want to live through this pain again.  I spoke to a lot of youth organizations whom found willing parents who let their kids pose for me.  This series went on tour for a couple of years and after it was over, the paintings went to the families.  It was completed in 1996.
